When other people coming from different countries of Europe or of other parts of the world decide to come to our country, to Catalonia, we try to explain to them which is our reality from the point of view of our history, of our language, our institutions, the personality of our people and our will of self-government and self-determination. But of course at the same time we try to explain to them what is the reality of Catalonia from an economic point of view and, to a certain extent, the will of Catalonia and the Catalans to be present in the world.
Sometimes I say that one the challenges of the catalan movement a century ago was to change Spain and to regenerate Spain. Now I think that one of the main challenges of the catalanism, of the catalan movement, is to try to help Catalonia to be well-placed in the world.
